Business Enterprise

This term, Year 5 and Year 6 are taking part in an exciting Business Enterprise Project, supported by Virgin Money.  The project is called 'Make £5 Grow'.  Virgin Money agree to give each pupil £5 and, within twelve weeks, the children have to become mini entrepreneurs, create a product, sell it at the Grainger Market in Newcastle in November and at our own School Christmas Fayre in December, and make a very handsome profit.  Hence, making £5 grow...

Lisa Souter and Donna Waite, the Virgin Money representatives who are supporting us with our project, came into school to launch the project and to present Y5 and Y6 with our cheque.  We have decided on our products, tested them out, written questionnaires as part of our market research, designed posters and are well on our way to producing our products.  Lisa and Donna will return to school in two weeks to run a Dragon's Den style competition in order to evaluate our products and perhaps make suggestions for making our products even better.

Watch this space ...  More information from our budding entrepreneurs will appear in due course!
