Mayor visits Hadrian Park

On Friday 8th November the elected mayor of North Tyneside, Norma Redfearn, visited school to open our new garden and classroom.  Visitors from the Local Authority, North Tyneside Learning Trust, Kier, parents, staff and of course children all joined in together to celebrate this fantastic new outdoor space. Music from Churchill Community College and Hadrian Park making the morning very special.

The garden project was possible thanks to National Lottery Awards for All funding.  The school council designed the garden and it was brought to life through staff and parents working together to dig paths, lay gravel and make beds for planting.  Churchill staff and pupils provided artwork and a mosaic for the garden, all in conjunction with our children.
