Lower Key Stage 2 visit to the Great North Museum

Years 3 and 4 visited the Great North Museum on Tuesday 1st December to link with our topic of ancient Egypt. We really enjoyed the 'Mummies Unwrapped' workshop - some of us even got a chance to remove organs from the body of the mummification doll. We found out which objects people were buried with and why the Egyptians believed their body must be preserved for their journey to the Afterlife.

We also spent time in other exhibitions in the museum, including the Romans, fossils, life in the sea and dinosaurs.

A huge thank you to all the parents who came with us.
